On Thursday the 5th Of January 2023, both members from Littlehampton Wave Lifesaving Club and Horsham Lifesaving Club joined together to celebrate their achievements at all levels of involvement from the survive and save awards up to national honours.
Some of the highlights from the presentation involve:
the celebration of 2 national honours for Horsham. Robin Akers achieved the Certificate of Merit and Sam Clark achieved the Young Lifesaver Of The Year Award.
Littlehampton had huge successes with town awards. Sophia Hendey achieved the Young Sportsperson Of The Year, Jude Morris achieved the Commended Young Sportsperson Of The Year and David Slade achieved the Mayors Lifetime Contribution To Sport.
Other achievements included 5 new OWLs and 1 new OWL instructor, 8 Distinctions from Horsham and 2 from Littlehampton, a massive 37 Jubilee Medallions for Horsham and 10 for Littlehampton.
A huge well done to the competitors from both clubs who competed in the inter club competition. The results will be found on the Horsham website.
